Class 12.9 Nut is high strength bolts with 1100MPa minimum yield strength and 1220MPa minimum tensile strength. It comes in different sizes and standards. It is quenched and tempered to offer hardness and strength. Grade 12.9 Nuts are fastening device consisting of a square or hexagonal block, usually of metal, with a hole in the center having internal, or female, threads that fit on the male threads of an associated bolt or screw. In addition to the standard hexagonal nuts and square nuts, there are also many special types. 12.9 Lug Nuts are a nut fastener with one rounded or conical end, which used on steel and most aluminum wheels. A set of it is typically used to secure a wheel to threaded wheel studs and thereby to a vehicle's axles. Typically, lug nuts are found on automobiles, trucks, and other large vehicles using rubber tires. There are four common types of Grade 12.9 Lug Nuts such as cone seat, bulge cone seat, under hub cap and spline drive. 12.9 Hex Nuts are internally threaded, six sided hexagonal fasteners that are used to secure mechanical joints. It is the most versatile and widely used commercial nut design available today. Class 12.9 Hex Nut is used in some of the high tensile applications such as the engine parts, motor casings and others. Hex Nut Grade 12.9 can come with zinc plated, plain or hot dip galvanized finish. It is used because of their ease of installation with tools and due to its mechanical strength.
