Countersunk Machine Screw is a type of fastening that sits flush with the surface of the material it occupies. It is typically are used so that you can cover them easily with either a piece of wood or screw cap. Other application contains a requirement for a fastening not to extend so other objects can rest upon it stably, or to fasten it further to another object. The particular angle of a countersunk screw head is 82°, but it differs depending on the application. Countersunk Bolt is a flat headed bolt fastener with hex socket drive into the head. It has cone shaped neck with flat head. Its dimension can be defined in both metric and imperials sizes with UNC, UNF, UN and ISO metric thread profile. Countersink Screws are used in a wide variety of fastening applications. It is often seen thar countersunk screws are used to secure doors to frames, for instance. With traditional screws, the screw head will extent out. And if you close a door that’s secured with the extending screw heads, it will stress both the door and the frame. It solves this problem by letting the door to sit flush against the frame. The head of M3 Countersunk Screw are completely buried, so there’s a smooth and level contact between the door and the frame. It is also used in many other woodworking and joinery applications. Stainless Steel Countersunk Screwis used to join two or more objects. It is unique, though, because of their size. The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) defines countersunk machine screws as featuring a diameter of up to 0.75”.
