Flexloc Nut is an outstanding self-locking nut. It is one piece; all metal construction which holds up under maximum temperatures, shock and vibration. Because a Flexloc has no nylon insert, it constantly offer better tensile strength than the leading “two-element” locknuts and it is perfect for high temperature environments. The slotted locking feature is the real secret of Flex Lock Nut. As the bolt captures the locking feature, the slotted section enlarges, initiating the locking action. This enlargement lifts the nut upward by causing the threads to support against the lower surface of the bolt threads. Once it is fully engaged thread offers a load-carrying capacity which results in a lower more constant distribution of stress per thread. This locking feature and the flex top lock nut all-metal construction combine to provide superior vibration resistance.

It has imitators but not equal for durability, strength, and overall value, it is the supreme industrial locknut. The full height locknut offers up to 19% more tensile strength than the leading nylon insert and 26% more strength than all competitive metal of locknut of equal size. The thin height locknut which offers effectively twice as much tensile strength as the leading nylon insert locknut offers.
