ISO 4161 Flange Nut provides a few of the defining attributes of a washer. It is used to spread the load evenly to avoid uneven fastening surface of the operations. Below the washers are serrations which prevent them from being used with washers or on surfaces that can be scratched and help the nuts to securely fasten when vibrations are present. ISO 4161 Hex Flange Nut is the most commonly used mating part to go with a bolt or a parallel threaded screw. It is hex nuts with a wide flanged portion near one end that acts as an integrated non-spinning washer. It is used to spread the load placed on the nut over a wider surface area to prevent damage to the installation material.
