The ASTM A194 Grade 6 specification standard covers variations of carbon, alloy, and martensitic stainless steel. ASTM A194 gr6 is treated by quenching, followed by tempering at a temperature range of 595°C. These ASTM A194 Grade 6 fasteners are made from martensitic 410 grade stainless steel. Grade 410 is a hardened, chromium based alloyed stainless steels.
