It has a good welding characteristics and post weld annealing is not usually required to restore performance. It has an excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of different media. 304 Stainless Steel Coil contains a minimum of chromium 18% and nickel 8% which gives its alternate name 18/8 stainless steel. It contains chromium-nickel content and low carbon. It is oxidation and corrosion resistant. Its durability offers an ease for fabrication and prevention of product contamination. And it is considered the most versatile and common austenitic stainless steel.
