The nominal size in inches for the ASTM A194 grade 7 nuts ranges between sizes of ¼ inch to 4 inches, while the metric sizes ranges from M6 through M100 nominal.

The ASME SA 194 material also covers austenitic grade stainless steel nuts in the size range 1⁄4 inches and above. The material ASTM A194 gr 7 nuts can further be processed by centerless grinding as well as by cold drawing. An important point to note that grade substitutions in the AA194 gr 7 nuts without the buyers or purchaser’s permission is not allowed.
