Our expertise team assure the best quality products with competitive price. 316L Pipe is molybdenum bearing austenitic stainless steel. As compared to nickel chromium stainless steel such as stainless steel 302 & stainless steel 304 it has more general resistance to corrosion. The “L” grade in 316L Tube are resistant to sensitization in short-term exposures or heat treatments. It often has slightly low typical 5,000psi less minimum strength than standard stainless steels. SS316L Pipe provides good oxidation resistance in continuous service to 925 °C and in irregular service to 870 °C. 316L Stainless Steel Pipe can be utilized in the above temperature range and it is more resistant to carbide precipitation.
Stainless Steel 316L Pipe can be heat treated at 1010-1120 °C and cool rapidly. And it cannot be hardened by thermal treatment. SA 312 TP 316L provides excellent weldability by all resistance and standard fusion method both with and without filler metals. It does not require post-weld annealing for maximum corrosion resistance and cannot be welded by using oxyacetylene welding methods. By using the common hot working techniques ASTM A312 TP 316L can be hot worked. Its excellent hot working temperatures should be between the ranges of 1150-1260 °C, and unquestionably should not be less than 930 °C. In order to get maximum corrosion resistance post-work annealing should be carried out.
It machine too quickly A312 TP316L tends to get work harden so because of this purpose low speeds and constant feed rates are suggested. SA 249 TP316L does not get harden in response to heat treatments. It can be hardened only by cold working, which may also help to increase its strength. Grade 316L is useful in medical implants, pharmaceutical application, marine application, architectural applications and food preparation equipment, etc.
